WhyQuit's Tribute
to Smoker Referral Organizations |
Although cold turkey continues its domination as the quit smoking method responsible for all but a small fraction of successful long-term quitters,[1][2] it has no economic muscle, political connections or ability to defend itself against constant attack. The power, influence and reach of those marketing a growing array of nicotine delivery products is tremendous. It's their mission to get people to use nicotine and our mission to help them stop.
What’s amazing is the growing number of organizations that realize that motivation enhancement, a quality dependency education, new recovery insights and understanding, a core cessation philosophy, coping skills development, rock solid around-the-clock support , and long-term relapse prevention follow-up, are empowering tools in permanently arresting dependency upon nicotine.
An all volunteer forum operating entirely on a budget of love, we could not reach and help those still in bondage without assistance in bringing our existence to the attention of cold turkey quitters. This page is dedicated to those organizations who believe that the roughly 90% of all new quitters who continue to elect to quit cold, deserve awareness of resources dedicated exclusively to serving their unique abrupt cessation needs.
Thank you!
