Comment notification problems on YouTube

Video explains a comment notification problem that I have had on YouTube since mid-2017. If ever writing a reply to one of my videos it is important that you create a new reply as opposed to writing a reply to an existing reply, whether it be a reply to a comment that I had posted or that another viewer has posted.
